Both Marvel and DC have been guilty in the past of selling off character rights peicemeal, then having to sit back and watch as other companies fought over claims to their own characters. (The huge rights tangle over who had film (as opposed to TV/book/magazine/etc) right to Spider-Man kept any possible movie in limbo for many years; similarly, the Kebler anti-drug promotional couldn't use Robin as a member of the Titans because Robin was licensed to a rival company at the time). Marvel cleaned up their act in an impressive sweep of deal making that brought all their characters (as far as I know) back under their wing. DC has only just begun to learn that lesson.--I greatly enjoyed the show, which is something I have not done for some time. Finally seeing someone in mask and costume doing superhero-y things? Oh, yeah. I'm hoping for some excellent rating on this season just for the possibility of heroic series spin-offs.</blockquote>
