However, I do think its possible that Clark's soul being in his body imprinted his goodness in some way.The whole Clark beating the inmate in Lionel's body and the cured liver also seems to imply that Superman's powers aren't just with his body, they are a part of his soul.At first Lionel's body was weak, but having Clark's soul in his body supercharged it a bit. The liver healed and his strength and fitness began to increase to the point where he could take out the inmate.I have a suspicion that now Lionel will be pretty strong and fast. Not superhuman, but basically like he was a young man again. And his body will be in perfect health.I wonder if he will still be the villain or if he will start becoming more of a good guy. Wouldn't it be ironic if Lionel becomes good as Lex begins to become increasingly evil? Perhaps a change of heart from Lionel is ultimately what drives Lex toward evil.</blockquote>
