Sneak attack combined with Spot the Weak point

Lets say you have learned the Skill trick "Spot the Weak Point" (Complete Scoundrel p89), succeed on a spot check versus the target AC and on the next round (while hidden from the target) perform a sneak attack on same the target. Now according to description of Spot the Weak Point, the attack is treated as a touch attack, which mean the target is denied it armor bonus. But since you also attack unexpextedly, the target would also lose its dex bonus, bringing the target Armor class down to it base defense, which is 10.

Am I correct :p

Short answer: No

Long answer: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Helpful answer:
If you sneak attack with Spot the Weak Point against the target's touch AC, you still have to account for things like Deflection bonus to AC.

Incorrect. There is nothing in the trick's description that says the defender is denied his dex bonus or is considered flanked so that a sneak attack can occur.

You are not surprising the defendent, but he'll be amazed when realizes his armor didn't protect him. =v)

Sorry, but perhaps I wasn't clear enough the first time, I didn't try to imply I get a sneak attack from "spot the weak point" for but if combines while succesfully concealed (hidden)

So in short I perform a "Spot the Weak Point" while beeing hidden from the target, and then strike him (at point blank range). That way the target should lose both his dex and armor bonus.

Yes, that is correct. He will, however, retain bonuses such as Deflection.

Yeah, for some targets, they can retain an amazing amount of AC even when flatfooted and going against touch AC. Size, deflection, insight (dusty rose iuon stone), luck, monk (and similar class features)... I've had halfling monks with flatfooted touch ACs still well over 20. It's rare, but it does happen. :)

It's really not an issue, though. Even more common and easier is using a wand or scroll with use magic device for a ray spell that's a ranged touch. Anytime you can hide or go invisible, you also leave the foe flatfooted and susceptable to SA. It's actually a staple tactic of a Rogue. And considering the means to hit high AC targets among the other 3/4 BAB classes -- Bard has inspire, Cleric has insanely potent self-buffs, Druid has Wildshape... -- you really shouldn't even feel bad about "exploiting" this "dirty trick."

It only works 1/encounter at any rate. Now, wands of Wraithstrike are a dirty trick. (And persisted Wraithstrike is just cheesy)
