But sometimes it happens like those movies, in release they are a total bomb, an epic failure, but later they become a cult classic title. And Hasbro wants D&D lines with an own style, not too close to generic fantasy. They have to sell a different product difficult to be imitated by rivals. I am thinking some "secondary" planes from Magic: the Gathering could be added easily to the D&D cosmology, for example Pyrulea could work like something close to the wood elemental plane, and Wildfire like a softer version of the fire elemental plane, allowing to be visited and explored by low level PCs. The "Realmbreaker" be a card to be played in the future. Or let's imagine plane-travelers discovering demiplanes as metal elemental plane, but with lots of elements from Mirrodin "ecosystem". Sigil is not a torus any more, but a ring. This means we are talking a true reboot of the setting. But if Sigil is a ring now, then in the future more rings from misterious origins could be added. Or....really there are two Sigil, one the original torus and the second the new ring. (Why? Maybe it is fault by Vecna and all those troubles caused in the end of 2nd Ed). * Could Cybertronians(Transformers) to be "compleated" by the Phyrexians? * Now I am wondering if the sha'ir from al-Qadim could be updated to work as a summoner class. Of course somebody could say it could be only a warlock subclass. * What about Union and "Haven", demiplanes created by mercanes to be the rival of Sigil in the interplanar trade? * What if in the infinite staircase portals toward "fake Sigil" are found? How could be "doppel" versions of the Outlands? * If there is an Outlands plane... why not a "Withinland" plane with its own Gatetowns toward the (para/quasi)elemental planes?
