The biggest "annoyance" factor with The Keep is that you have to manually rename "Keep.dba" to "CampaignName_Keep.dba" (or something other than just "Keep") because it will auto open "Keep.dba" when you open the program. To work on multiple campaigns, you have to 'unname' "CampaignName_Keep.dba" back to "Keep.dba" so it will open it. Still, not much of a problem unless you work on a half-dozen campaigns multiple times a day.
Hiya. Mainly because it is a "commercial thread", not one made by a "gamer for opinions, suggestions, help, etc". I read the first posts and all of them were basically positive or neutral'ish. I wanted it to be known to the company that not everyone is keen on what they are doing with it now. I felt a negative post would help them realize it. As I said at the end of my post.. ...and Sword of Spirit seems to agree with me. A tool for a DM to organize his campaign in one place is a useful tool for some. Some, like me, prefer the old dead-tree-and-ink method, but I can definitely see an advantage of having it all in digital form, on multiple backup areas. PS: Sword of Sprit: You may want to check out The Keep, by NBOS software. I bought that back at v1 (and yes, I did upgrade to v2) and have used it, very minorly, on occasion when I was at work and had some idea or thing I wanted to make sure I didn't forget...or if I wanted to read up on an old campaign we put on the back-burner for a few months so as to refresh my memory of who/what/where and all that. If you're more of a one-campaign kinda guy...won't be a problem. :) ^_^ Paul L. Ming
