Morgrissa A long-time opponent of my other party, Morgrissa was one of the lead villains of their second adventure. In the climactic encounter she took the party down to three conscious members, one of whom was the halfling rogue that she'd blinded earlier in the battle. Wouldn't you know it, said halfling got extremely lucky on a string of rolls and forced her surrender! The halfling and the party druid were in favor of killing her outright, but the third remaining party member was a soft-hearted gnome paladin who extracted a vow of good behavior from the priestess and let her go. She ended up outlasting him - the paladin died fighting a team of assassins long ago while my group just finally succeeded in sending Morgrissa to meet her dark masters. Morgrissa is a coldly beautiful woman with alabaster skin, flaming red hair, and piercing blue eyes that resemble the frayed color of ice. Her delicate features are usually marred by a hateful sneer, and her looks have proved the undoing of several heroes who underestimated her as a result. She died in the last clash between the cult of the Morrigan and the Winter Knights of Dhunraven, but as all know, in D&D that does not mean she is gone for good! For posterity, her sheet at the time of her last battle: Morgrissa - Female Human Clc 13 of the Morrigan Ht: 5'7" Wt: 132 Eyes: Blue Hair: Red Age: 31 Str: 14 Dex: 13 Con: 14 Int: 13 Wis: 20(24) Cha: 14 Spd: 20 Init: +5 HD: 13d8+26 HP: 106 AC: (+1 dex,+10 armor) 21/ 11 t/ 20 ff Atk: +1 thundering morningstar +12/+7 dmg 1d8+3 Saves: Fort +10 Ref +7 Will +15 Skills: Concentrate +18, Knowledge(religion) +17, Scry +10, Diplomacy +10, Spellcraft +17 Feats: Combat Casting, Improved Initiative, Weapon Focus (morningstar)*, Dodge, Mobility, Spell Focus (enchantment), Lightning Reflexes Class: Command/Rebuke Undead 5/day, War domain (bonus Weapon Focus), Destruction (Smite 1/day, +4 atk, +13 dmg) Gear: +4 Coronet of Wisdom, +1 thundering morningstar, mw full plate, mw large steel shield, potions: bull's strength, endurance, scroll: summon monster VII, 57 pp, obsidian statuette (250 gp value) Spells per Day (DC 17 + lvl (+2 Ench)) 0) 6 1) 7+d 2) 7+d 3) 6+d 4) 5+d 5) 4+d 6) 3+d 7) 2+d Prepared: 0) cure minor wds, guidance, resistance, detect magic, read magic, virtue 1) inflict lt wds (d), cure lt wds (x2), doom, bane, charm person, sanctuary, shield of faith 2) spiritual weapon (d), cure mod wds, hold person (x3), knife spray, aura of death, death knell 3) magic vestment (d), sword spray, pro from elements, weapon of impact, dispel magic (x2), sound burst 4) divine power (d), pain shield, cure crit wds, freedom of movement, blindsight, poison 5) flame strike (d), slay living, summon monster V, greater command, spell resistance 6) power word: stun (d), harm, heal, blade barrier 7) disintegrate (d), mass hold, blasphemy At the time of the battle, she had been enhanced with virtue, shield of faith, aura of death, magic vestment, pro from elements (fire), weapon of impact, divine power, freedom of movement, blindsight, and spell resistance, plus the potions of bull's strength and endurance and a fly from a 12th level wizard (necromancer) who accompanied her.
