'Other' party The 'other party' I referred to in the last post are the Winter Knights of Dhunraven, a group of individuals running around the next country over from the guys in the CotSQ thread. I thought I'd post their line-up, past and present - eventually maybe my players will want to add their sheets. Current lineup: Phae - Female Human Druid 12, accompanied by an awakened weasel and an awakened dire wolf. This untamed queen of the wilds is the quiet backbone of the knights. Its hard to remember how many times she has bailed the others out of a bad situation. Novrad Mayurod - Male Human Monk 10/Spellfire Channeler 2. This runaway from a great monastery that dominates religious politics in the country has a great and barely tapped inner power. The cult of the Morrigan and the monastery both want him very badly for his power and he must always watch his back. Milo Windby - Male Halfling Rogue 7/Transmuter 5/ Fighter 1. This cowardly halfling runs or hides from nearly every situation the group finds itself in, although he has proved his mettle when things look grim. He used to work for a crime boss in the area but found life with the party more satisfying and betrayed his old boss when the man kidnapped the duke's nephew. Lyman - Male Air Genasi Evoker 11. One time apprentice to the duke's court wizard, this youth now equals his old master. He is a loyal servant of the duke and reports back to him frequently. Lyman is hot tempered and is likely to respond with a lightning bolt to any assumed insult or threat. He is also very proud and sure of his abilities, and challenges all passing arcane casters to mageduels to assert his dominance. Dante Rex - Male Human Fighter 4/ Cleric 1/ Paladin 1/ Ranger 1/ Devilslayer 2/ Order of the Chalice 3 (I could be wrong on this one, Dante is a little confusing. He also has a Male human Barbarian 7?/Frenzied Berserker 4? for a cohort.) Dante is the ultimate valiant knight, devoted to vanquishing demons and devils wherever he finds them. He recently lost his left arm to the devil that killed Otarr, and now quests for a mythical item that could replace it. He has built quite a reputation in the north and a group of warriors led by a dark haired berserker recently arrived at the keep to serve him. Male Human Sorcerer 6?/ Eldritch Master 5? Male Human Monk 8?/ Shatterfist 3? The last two PC's are very new to the party and I can't remember their names yet, much less their backgrounds. The Knights have a very long list of ex-members, as well: Waddy of the Waddikins - Male Gnome Paladin, killed by assassins sent to kill the duke's nephew Bayne - Male Wild Elf Sorcerer, 'tentpegged' by an ogre Malhavoc Shadowlord - Male High Elf Bard/Fighter. An elven diplomat, our version of Malhavoc succumbed to a death knell from an orcish priest. Ulfgar Ulrikkson - Male Dwarf Fighter/Ranger/Slayer. This dwarf didn't last a real long time, but he made a big impression on that umber hulk. Tobias Hawthorne - Male High Elf Ranger/Devoted Defender. Malhavoc's bodyguard, he was never the same after the bard's death and fell against ogre Blood Dancers. Makkal of Psen - Male Dwarf Monk. Makkal retired from active adventuring and runs the mines beneath the group's keep. "Goatboy" - Male Elf/Satyr Fighter. This elf died so quickly after joining the group that Phae felt sorry for him and reincarnated him. He came back as a satyr, and soon ran into the woods in shame as the group hurled various barbs and Jim Breuer references at him. "Goatboy" may still lurk somewhere in the forest. Lyon - Male Drow Fighter, found the surface world not to his liking and returned to the underdark. Otarr - Male Orc Cleric/Barbarian, torn limb from limb in battle with a large devil. Richmond Prescott - Male Human Paladin, a wandering holy warrior who passed through the group's lands but has since moved on his way. Wran the Rage - Male Half-Orc Psychometabolist, settled down and became a permanent member of the orc tribe the party befriended. I don't think I've left anyone out. This group has settled into a keep above an opal mine in the far north of the civilized world and have proved to be a nasty thorn in the side of the nearby cult of the Morrigan. They recently raided the cult's lair during a major festival and killed more than 170 cultists, then slew their high priestess, Morgrissa, when she attacked in retaliation. They are currently very worried about an army of ogres approaching their land from the untamed north.
