Actually wotc owned the original bakery, thus the final product of the cake came from them. The bakers from that original bakery still hve another shop that you are free to buy whatever you like from. I'm all for supporting Paizo until i can start up my dungeon/dragon subscriptions again. You have an alternative, Paizo has a great new line starting up, same writers, same freelancers same material. Trust me I've had dinner with these guys and have seen some previews, it's all good stuff. The material will be the same and even more than it once was. Yes it no longer sits in your bookshelf, but let me share with you some other things that have changed in the last 30 years. 1. Diesel fuel is no longer fashionable 2. Black and white tvs aren't made anymore 3. A little invention called the computer took off 4. There's no beta or vhs anymore, we record on these little chips 5. Sega, no longer in the video game hardware business 6. people rarely get film developed nowadays, its all on these neat little digital cameras. 7. Publications, magazines, newspapers are beginning to depend more on online revenue that can be better targeted, focused and current than printed ads. This is a slow build, --- a marathon, not a sprint. WOTC is preparing for the biggest rpg launch in a decade, they don't have time to gather together material for a system on life support so that a few fanboys can relive old times. They're looking forward to the future, showing us previews and I like what i am seeing so far. My new hp auto three hole punches. Way cheaper than a personal copy machine and less time consuming than scanning and reprinting. I swear, everytime i scanned something something would be left off. I rarely used dungeon/dragon in game, especially when the pdf market took off. it became such a hassle for game prep to have to remember what book i saw something in, find the right article, find a matter of photo copying and then presenting it in game. If it was a cool color picture of a dragon i'll be darned if it made it to game because iwasn't paying 1 buck for a color copy for one session.
