It like many other campaigns is just something that unless you want to run a game there, make no significant impact on the hobby as a whole. Thats not a slight to Ptolus, just that it doesn't change the way things work. You can use it or not. Just because Monte released Ptolus doesn't mean Eberon is of any less value or use. The onus is on Malhavoc to create interest in the product.The more stuff they release the more interest they can potentially create before actually spending the money to actually have it see print. (Thus recouping their operating costs much faster.)With 4e, the mere announcement that it's in the works has the potential to change the industry. (At least the d20 industry, and the case can be made for the gaming industry as a whole...)The announcement of 4e means that companies will stop producing product for 3e, people hold off on what they were going to buy, and the d20 market at least almost comes to a stall as people wait for the results.You can't stall the market for that long, else people will start going broke.</blockquote>
