And there were a lot of insightful posts here, and like I posted in my OP, I totally could see where he was coming from.To me as a player and a fellow DM, it is my top priority to preserve the fun of the game at every session I play.I have no problem getting told no, you can't do that... and I know a lot of DM's do have those problem players, but I am not one of them.I will try things, mostly cause I'm creative... or at least I like to think I am, but I'm always prepared for that idea to be shot down.I'll admit though, this time I was caught a bit off guard with this ruling, but I kept my cool and just came up with a quick back up plan for my turn.I think it was mainly that I just never thought of flight in that way... but again, I can see where he got it from, and to keep things rolling in a positive light I just shrugged and said okay, well then I guess I'll try this...</blockquote>
