Oh! Oh! I want to play also. :) My world has been in the crapper for 3-4 months and it is so bad that it is funny. To start off with keep in mind that I am 35 years old, my wife is 30, and my kids are 17, 3, & 2. 17 y/o has strange cyst that requires 2 surgeries to remove and the wound is still being packed daily 3 months later. My wife had to have a surgery that revealed that she needs to have a different surgery. I passed out at work (in a hospital) and had to be taken to the ER via ambulance. Kinda funny when you think about that. Turns out I get to have an internal defibrilator implanted in my chest cause my heart likes to stop pumping blood. My orthopeadic doc says he needs to operate on both knees (not at once) and that the cause of my pain is tremendous amounts of blood and soft tissue damage as well as a stress fracture in my right knee. The lateral miniscus is torn and the medial miniscus is deformed (previously operated on). He won't really do much for the pain since I won't do the surgery. My wife and daughter both caught the flu and were down the entire month of november. Right before my daughter caught the flu she came home high. She had also been doing other drugs for over a month. In 4 months I have had $5,000 in auto repairs. I fell holding my son in the bathroom and went through the wall - total repair bill $5,000.00 plus change. Unrelated to the bathroom fiasco, I discovered ternimites in my house. Total bill $2,000.00. Christmas eve was interupted by the death of my nieces grandfather - he was all of 58. I am sure there is more but all of the minor stuff just kinda seems irrelevant when you are talking about who gets to have surgery first and how long is needed between surgeries so that you can have child care. With all of that....We are all still hale and whole. My marriage is strong and my family loving. It was the lowest year in terms of stuff happening to me but to say I am anything but blessed is really a lie. Hopefully, this next year I get some karmaric pay back :)
