Message: <blockquote data-quote="scarhead" data-source="post: 1083226" data-attributes="member: 13717">life is goodFor the past 6 + months I have been deployed to the middle east.  My wife has to deal with our two kids, plus the four children she babysits to make extra money.  My son's 4th birthday is in 10 days and my participation will total a birthday card I sent a few days ago, if it gets there in time.But all in all, life is not too bad.  I am able to email and phone my wife a lot more than some other guys over here and that has really helped.  We have an AC in my tent so it doesn't get much over 100 degrees during the day and is downright chilly at night.We have a decent dining facility and recently we even got ice cream!  That was a big boost to morale.I'm able to check out this site every other day when I'm on shift and I really enjoy reading most of these posts.  Some of them make me laugh out loud, which is a rare a good thing.I'm getting promoted to Sergeant in September.Sometimes the webcam works so I've actually been able to see my boys and they have seen me.  My wife says this has been really good for them.So I'll say that things are pretty good.I hope things turn around for you, ArthurQ.Scarhead</blockquote>
