So is anyone planning a LOTR marathon this Tuesday?

I haven't seen any of the EE's yet. I'm saving myself 'till they all come out, and then I'm going to watch them all at once, with friends if I can find some who'll sit down that long. I've been planning this since I first heard about them...

Wow...that'll be really cool for you. I have to say I'm a little jealous...

Though I'll most likely end up buying the Theatrical Version of the DVD this Tuesday, I'll only have myself a marathon once I purchase the Extended Version of TRotK later this year, thus having myself a marathon with all three Extended Versions.

You know, I kind of regret getting the extended version of TTT. I've had it since Christmas, and I still haven't watched it. The fact is, there's rarely an evening when I want to sit in front of the TV for 4+ hours. Even 3 hours is pushing it, which is why I've only watched the original version once since I bought it. And this is coming from someone who loves the books.

Anyone know when the extend RotK is due out? I'll likely wait for that one before trying a marathon (which in all honesty probably won't happen--I'll end up watching one a night for three nights, or one a weekend for three weekend).

I happen to have this Tuesday off so I'm considering it.

FOTR theatrical, then TTT EE, then ROTK. Just five more days....

Not for Tuesday, and not a true marathon. However, my wife and I are planning to watch all three (maybe preluded by the cartoon Hobbit, maybe not) next weekend. We'll probably watch Fellowship ee on Friday, TT ee on early Saturday and then King Saturday night.

Latest rumor is the RotK EE is due in November, like the other EE's. Suposted to have an extra 55 minutes, making it 4 hours, 15 minutes.

No... I'll be waiting for the Extended Edition. Then, I'll call my friends, stock up on snacks, and spend some 12 hours in Middle-Earth.

I'm kinda in the same boat. Everyone in my local circle-o-friends picked up the EE of TTT, but then we all got together and watched it at the house that had the nicest theatre. So, I've watch the movie. It's just that mine has done nothing but gather dust.

Wasn't gonna bother with the theatrical versions, but I bought'em anyway. :heh:

Already picked up my copy of RotK- its out already in NYC. That means tomorrow, Sunday, I could do a marathon. But I'm not going to.
