Wow man, I'm sorry for what happened to your gaming group. It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong; to me it just sounds like normal growing pains. The fact of the matter is, people change as time goes by. I agree with Lord Zardoz...just shrug your shoulders and go on gaming without them. But stay in touch: even if they aren't gaming with you, they can still be your friends. And you can never have too many friends. I have friends that I game with, friends that I go karaoking with, friends I make beer with, friends that I see movies with, and friends that I go to concerts with. I am sure that there are other things you could do together. Hey now...my wife and I have been gaming happily together for nearly a decade, and two of our players got married five years ago. I think gaming is healthy for couples. It warms my heart every time I hear something like "Honey, can I borrow your vorpal greataxe? Mine's still in the shop." Also, not all of us can just take a day off whenever we want to. I have to carefully schedule my days off almost a month in advance, for example. And I really can't complain. One of our players is a trauma surgeon...you can imagine how easy it is for her to get a night off. But I concede your point. More often than not, romance at the game table ends badly...and scheduling conflicts make it hard on everyone to get together for a game. Holy crap, that's awesome! Congratulations, fellow gamer...here's an XP for the happy couple! (plink!)
