So... tell me about Otherland

I've nearly finished the first book in Tad Williams' "Otherland"-cycle.
I must say I like it, but I do not love it. And I'm weary to invest in a whole series of books, seeing as I got burned more often than not.

Is there anyone out here who read at least book two, maybe the whole series? Is it worth it to read on? Or did you throw the last book away with disdain?

I read the whole series. I liked the first three books the best, but I felt that the end of the third book and the last book got away from all of the things that I liked about the books(the different sim worlds). I think that the whole series is well worth the read, and it does end with some surprises however. I would say that is at least worth the read, but I would also try to check them out at your local library before I bought them if I were you.
