Ultimately, I think that the WLC was worth its cover price, but it wasn't quite what I expected (which did lead to some disappointment). Ptolus definitely has the edge as its own setting/campaign with both its implied metaplots and the wicked good organization that makes it easy to reference during play. That said, I think that the WLC has the edge as a generic city sourebook for use with any setting by virtue of sticking to the D&D core rules and not introducing new races, magic, technology, etc.</blockquote>
