(I'm counting 1e, Basic, WotC D20, 4e and 5e.) 5e was play-tested extensively to make sure it appealed to the broadest possible base of consumers.That said, we have a model at our neighborhood store that is working really well. Every other game we host is D&amp;D, and a lot of the folks who come in for D&amp;D come back for the indie games with less brand recognition. So hopefully people can find a game that appeals more directly to them.</blockquote>
