Some people did get upset about the Adventurer's Handbook being cancelled (I don't really get that since, at best, those people only had a general idea of what was going to be in the book anyway) but, so what? Do you really think that WotC cares about some of our grumblings in the forums? I don't think so. A company like WotC wouldn't operate without some sort of long range plan. I get that they are experimenting with this new edition but I also suspect that they have a pretty good idea about what they plan to publish over the next year or two (at the minimum). So why not share those ideas? Why not confirm that they are working on a campaign setting... they don't have to tell us which one specifically. Just knowing that any setting is being worked on would be a big morale booster for us. Or, they could say they're working on a book about the planes... would that be so hard to do?
