Message: <blockquote data-quote="Dark Sun" data-source="post: 1038511" data-attributes="member: 13440">bartendingUnfortuantly some states have certain laws and some establishments have diffrent rules for serving drinks.   In vegas here when I serve people its one drink per ID unless your sitting at the bar.  Its not my rule its my establishments.  We also have a card we have to get to be able to serve or sell alcohol at all, if your card gets taken away you cant sell any alcohol what-so-ever(cant even get a job at 7-11).     Just a quick scenerio, with my state laws, if someone comes to my bar and orders a shot and a cocktail, brings the drinks back to his/her friends and hands it to an underage friend, who later in the night gets pulled over and may not be drunk but fails a breathalizer, when asked where he got the drink from and he says, " from establishment x ".  The bartender on duty gets a heavy fine($10,000) and your TAM card taken away, establishment gets a fine and their liquor liscense suspended.   So from that I go from a job that pays 75k a year to not being able to get a job at 7-11.  The vegas laws are actually pretty strict compared to other places Ive worked, but then again vegas is one of the few places that you can make a huge living doing absolultly as little as possible.   Just a heads up, sometimes it isnt the bartender but the establishment or the state laws...I wouldnt want a person to lose their lively hood just cause I wanted to double fist it one night.  Best way around it would be to tip him well that way he remembers you when you come back for another one, he may even look past the rules for you.</blockquote>
