Soliciting prize donations for Chicago Game Day

(Apologies if this is the wrong forum...)

The next ENWorld Chicago Game Day is coming up in June. The between-session prize giveaway is one of our big attractions, and YOU can help make it happen! Donating a product for the prize giveaway can help make a poor gamer's wish come true.

By donating prizes, you:
  • Get the word out about your company and its products
  • Increase your comapny's profile in the gaming community
  • Crush your enemies and see them driven before you
  • Gain the adoration of gamers everywhere
  • Draw in customers that may have overlooked your products on the shelves
  • Foster faith in the FLGS
  • Meet hot gamer chicks/studs*

This year, we're also talking about doing a tournament; two tables will compete against each other, culminating in a final battle royale between all the PCs. If you feel you have a prize for the lucky winners that is particularly appropriate, well... let us have it! :D

If you are interested in donating prizes--be they books, PDFs, minis, dice, software, or other game aids--please feel free to post in this thread, or contact buzz (me), or thalmin (a.k.a. Curt from Games Plus, the host venue of Chicago Game Day) via email or PM.

*Presence of hot gamers in your life not guaranteed by Chicago Game Day staff.

I still have the mint condition (never read) signed copy of the Dragonlance campaign setting.

I would also be willing to donate a painted miniature. While not a spectacular painter, I do have some skills.

Okay, for the heck of it I emailed Wizards about donating prizes. They replied that they do not donate prizes for events that they do not personally run. Oh, well.

But, you know what this means...

This is your opportunity to be cooler than Wizards. Your opportunity to make a statement. Your opportunity to say: "Wizards may not care about Joe Gamer, but we do. *We* care about you. *WE* donate prizes to ENWorld Game Days, because *WE* care about the average gamer. *WE* care about the hobby! *WE* care about [insert country of origin here]! GOD BLESS [insert courntry of origin here]!!!" :makes V for victory sign:

You have the power. Use it.

Please? :)
