I've been palying 3.5e for about a year with a Druid.  2 sessions ago I finally hit level 8 and I'm the only not multi-classed character. Our party is all human and consists of Druid (8) Wizard/Rogue (7/1) Cleric/Paladin (5/3) Fighter/Barbarian (7/1). We were doing a pretty standard undead type dungeon encountered some shadow mastiffs and an shambling mounds. For reference my animal companion was just killed by the wizard whilst fighting a dragon and I had no chance to actually get a new one as yet. We had done pretty well, only using a couple of spells before we encountered the Bodak. This is not entirely relevant but DM misunderstood what cold steel is and none of our regular weapons were working. I'll spare you the horrible details but essentially, I wild shaped into a bear grappled the Bodak, not knowing what it was, and proceeded to try to bite it's head off. In doing so I got caught in the death gaze and was killed (roll of 14!). This is fine, we go through the rest of the fight and they eventually kill the Bodak with no other casualties.  After it's all done the DM asks if I want to keep my character and I do, so he says we need to find a way to save him. I know we have 24 hours before I become one. I was the only person in the party who could have cast any kind of resurrection (reincarnate I think). We are 3 days horse ride from the nearest town who think I murdered their mayor (I was framed) and we have no horses since a dragon ate them. Does anyone know any way that I could be saved in this, beyond DM interference?  I like this character a lot and had just started being an animal all the time since I was just a druid who couldn't speak Any assistance would be great!</blockquote>
