Some GOOD TV news

How does this version compare to the original--a French comic, yes?--and such like that?
The similarities are striking in their absence. Basically, the concept of two guys named Jeremiah and Kurdy moving around in a post-apocalyptic world. The apocalypse is quite different, Kurdy is black, and just about everything else is different.

A few notes:

It's Kurdy. Kurdy Malloy. In fact, of the main crew I think the only last name we don't know is Jeremiah's. And I'm not sure if Theo has a last name.

The current time frame is 15 years after the Big Death, IIRC.

Also, I've done a lot of viewing of the series (until my whole collection got wiped out >< ). The best part, IMO, is watching the dichotomy between Jeremiah and Kurdy play out. Well, that and the Season 1 cliffhanger... that was great!

Anyway, Jeremiah is definitely NOT the altruistic one - Kurdy much more fills that role than Jeremiah. That's a debate for another topic though, if anyone is interested in my views. :)
