[QUOTE="Rackhir, post: 1132119, member: 149"] Quite frankly, aside from things like the Ships/death gliders and semi artifacts like the Sarcophagus (healing coffins), most of the Go'a'uld technology doesn't seem to be that good. Conventional assault rifles and other current military technology are clearly vastly more effective than what the Go'a'uld use. O'Neil put it best in the episode where there was a Ja'fa who was gathering up rebel Ja'fa and wanted help from the SGC. He said holding up a staff weapon "This is a weapon for terrifying your enemy!" and then held up a P90 and said "THIS is a weapon for killing him!". The Go'a'uld don't seem to have anything equivalent to artillery or armored vehicles, which would get them slaughered against the US military. Even their Deathgliders are relatively simple to bring down with only Stinger type SAMs, the simplist and least effective SAMs. The Motherships could fill the role of artillery, but they are the one thing that the SGC can't equal yet... Also there has been a distinct tendency to have them "loose") fairly promptly substantial pieces of technology (like the Mothership they took. Or to "discover" some sort of drawback or limitation to the Go'a'uld tech, like the Sarcophagus driving people insane or needing Go'a'uld DNA markers to use the Hand Device which Major Carter is only barely able to use (though she hasn't exactly been practicing).
