Some thoughts on the new D&D Corebooks (2024/2025 edition)

The 2024 edition of #DungeonsandDragons is finally here! With the digital release of the Monster Manual, we now have the full lineup of core books, and I’ve taken a deep dive into each of them. This isn’t a review - think of it as my first impressions from someone who’s played 5e for almost a decade (and a bit of 4e and 1e for good measure).

I was on the fence about this edition for a while (looking at you, Spelljammer & Planescape), but seeing the care put into these books, I have to admit—it’s a solid celebration of 50 years of D&D. There are still some flaws, but overall, this is a worthy update.
