I really like your version of the Song of Forms. And... I realize it is roughly the same version I am using in my campaign. I always thought that the Song would be such an important aspect of WotBS and that it was basically the key to properly fighting/encountering the Trillith. So I was not really all that happy that the original version required the ability to use bardic music. Especially since I only got two players in my group, which happen to stylistically invest in music but did not plan to take levels in the bard class. What I did was giving them the feat for free after they invested a lot of time training it, interacting with Tiljann etc. But giving out feats or skill ranks for roleplaying investment like this is a matter of GMing preference. I still kept the effect as it was, as I am a fan of "magical music", although I would never allow for lingering song cheesing with something as impressive as the Song. Or any bardic masterpiece style effect in that regard.
