Given how much I enjoy reading your campaign, I will take that as a high compliment! I agree that I think it a key element. I told my group before they made character that they would want someone who took a least a few levels as a bard. The player who did so is trying to do something a bit different with it from the standard ministral, and given the campaign's war theme looks to go to Battle Herald. Based on that, I removed the Lingering Performance line when I gave my players access to it. I can add it back in later if it looks needed. Pathfinder's take on bardic music is that the effects stop when the music stops, unless you have the feat Lingering Performance, which only adds two rounds; even then you cannot have two bardic musical effects in play at the same time. I too really like the idea of magical music, and hope my players find it an enjoyable an interesting option. I very much hope I can pull in the historical clues scattered through the books -- of it originally being from the Worldshaper Worm, and possibly alluded to in the "The Trilling Stone." In my campaign, the connection with bringing forth dreams into the world will also bring into the portfolio of Desna. Thus, I hope to hook a few of players onto the importance of this song.
