Sorry about that, I didn't notice your post when I made mine. I would have, you know, at least waited a bit before making mine. :o Oh well, I guess it just goes to show that great minds think alike. :) Your class is true to its name, considerably versatile. You can focus your spellcasting levels gained in either class, which is at once a little weaker than mine (mine hasone more level) but also stronger (mine requires an even split). The familiar progression makes perfect sense, considering it is part of each parent class. The spell mastery makes sense and of course the spontaneity is an excellent idea. :) Swap spells is a great ability, probably the best ability this class gains. I had played with the idea myself, but in the form of rituals with xp costs. Still not really inherently overpowering, but... My only complaint is that they get all the cool stuff at once. I could imagine a sor/wiz taking one or three levels of this then going for a different prestige class. Focusing on sorc, one level lets them swap their 0th-2nd level spells daily, if he takes 2 more levels that increases to 3rd level spells. Swapping another level of spells after 4 levels of the class hardly seems worth not taking another PrC, even with the extra spells. Wizards are worse, when you consider they can apply huge amounts of metamgic to convert high level spells. Double empowered amgic missles, energy admixtured fireballs, and max heigtened hold person would see a lot of use. And that also only needs 3 levels of this class. Not overpowering abilities, but they are gained too quick and theres too little to be gained at higher levels. My class has similar powers, at 5th level he can use his slots either way but not convert prepared spells to sorceror ones until 9th level.
