Spaceballs 2

I wonder what science fiction movies M.B. would stick it too this time. In the first one he went after Transformers, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek and Star Wars. Am I leaving any out?

In the new one he could go after more Star Trek, the new Star Wars trilogy, the Matrix, and what else?

Will Dark Helmit return?

I can see it now -- a stunning fight between Yogurt (Mel Brooks) and Count Doodu (Leslie Nielsen)....

As the inspiration was probably the best scene in AotC, that would probably be the best scene in a Spaceballs sequel. Mel Brooks and Leslie Nielsen, can the world survive such humor?

That subtitle was already used in Star Trek Parodies. They'll need to get a new one. The original spaceballs was okay, but suffered (like most modern MB Stuff) from too much mugging for the camera in the way the jokes were played out.
Ah but they used that in Spaceballs as the name of the sequel. I'll definitely fork over some green to see this in the theatre. Dear God! After that dreadful second Star Wars movie, I could use a good laugh Mel Brooks style.

If you survived the seizure-inducing saber fight in AotC, then yes.

Given their last collaboration (and it's lack of humor), that won't be a problem.

I never really like Spaceballs (though the John Hurt/alien bit is very funny), but I can't imagine a sequel without John Candy.
