Umm, not for me. Looks like the tale of Spartacus and his rebellion got lost in the middle of a bunch of 300-like speed-up-slow-down cartoon violence shots and a lot of sex ... but where is the revolt?
It appears it will be a series on the order of HBO's Rome, thus building up from pre-rebellion days and, I suppose, if it lasts, through the final days of Spartacus. If the IMDb site is accurate, and there's no assurances that it is, then we may be looking at ten episode seasons. Depending on the pacing, it might make for a good three season series, having one season being Spartacus's capture aqnd rise through the ranks, then maybe a season where the escaped Gladiators are roaming fairly freely, though not finding a home adn decided to turn back into the Italian pennisula rather than heading north, then the last season when things get much uglier for them through their end. One might say their end is the crux of their existence.
Sam Rami is involved, so we know how Lawless got tapped, so to speak. Looks like it will be bloody and sexy and action-packed. I'll give it a shot through Hulu or Netflix but it won't entice to add Starz to my cable bill.
