Spear-based PrC?

-Ekimus-

First Post
I'm looking for a new character cause apparently sending a Forsaker into the City of the Spider Queen is a BAD idea... without restorations or remove curses etc etc... so i was thinking of a Spear-based PrC, yet i havnt found one, anyone happen to know of one?

Thanks

One-size-fits-all option the Weapon Master PrC from Sword and Fist. I don't think I've seen (m)any PrC's specifically devoted to spear wielding though.

There's a nice PrC in Hammer & Helm (Green Ronin's dwarf book) called the Thunder Thrower. It's for fighters (not just dwarves) specializing in throwing weapons, so it would work for a half-spear or short spear.

For a long spear, there was a PrC on the Wizards board that tied a contest for best PrC. It's called the Long Blades, and it's for fighters specializing in reach weapons. You can see it here:

There's also a school of combat based on the long spear in Path of the Sword.

Those two are the closest I've seen to any spear-based PrCs.

I'm surprised no one has aimed you at Second World Simulations' "Masters of Arms" book.

Check out the reviews on this site, it scored a 5/5 from Psion, and is a VERY nice book for combat styles.

Yes... Masters of Arms is pretty much the one stop shopping spot if you want weapon specialist. It's WAY cool when it comes to this sort of thing.

There's also one in AEG's War that is pretty decent, though I didn't find the whole of the book that worthwhile.

I bought Masters of Arms after reading Psions review, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I should mention it has THREE related PrCs for use - The Glaive Master, The Spear Master, and the Ranseur Master.
