Spectral Hand rate of travel

I don't see anything in the spell description for Spectral Hand that indicates how fast it travels.

If I wish to deliver Touch of Idiocy to a cleric that is 100' away, how long will the spectral hand take to get there and deliver the spell?

Thanks in advance!

No, seriously -- the spectral hand effectively travels at c .... a.k.a. the speed of light. It goes to the target, resolves the attack or full attack action you have taken, and returns to your side, all in the length of time it would take for you to perform the same action against a target already adjacent to you.

As well to ask how fast a magic missile travels, or how long an arrow is in flight, if launched from a composite longbow +1 of distance at a target 2000' away.

Sounds good to me in spite of the light slap. The reason I asked was that I had seen in another thread where someone had asked if a spectral hand moving to its target provoked AoO. None of the responses said anything to the effect that it was just too darned fast to be subject to such attacks.

If that is the case, it would seem that the only time that the SH could be attacked (with magic missles for example) is when it is hovering over the caster's head. Is this correct?
