Rocket tag?</p><p></p><p>You say that as someone who was playing the way you wanted in 3.x? Maybe the margin isn't huge, but I'd argue the earlier ed is the more intricate of the two. Maybe the sub-set of tactical options in 3e left when you've winnowed away the traps & chaff was less intricate, but that's a substantial undertaking, in itself.</p></blockquote><p></p>
