Speed eating mole

In the world of competitive eating, it's time to crown a new champion.

Even the fastest human eaters need a few seconds to consume a piece of food. The current record for devouring hard-boiled eggs, for example, is 65 eggs in 6 minutes 40 seconds, by Sonya Thomas of Alexandria, Va. That works out to about six seconds an egg.

But according to a report last week in the journal Nature, Ms. Thomas and her fellow record-holders must step aside to make room for the star-nosed mole, a bizarre creature that lives in wetlands in the Eastern United States.

Researchers at Vanderbilt University have found that the star-nosed mole can eat 10 mouthful-size chunks of earthworm, one at a time, in 2.3 seconds, or 0.23 second a chunk. That is over 26 times as fast as Ms. Thomas in her record-shattering performance. In fact, it is the fastest eating ever measured in any mammal.

I suspect that Sonya Thomas of Alexandria, Va. is probably not someone you would call a "hottie".

You would think so with all of her speed eating awards:

Accomplishments
Eggs: 65 Hard Boiled Eggs / 6 minutes, 40 seconds
Oysters: 36 Dozen Acme Oysters / 10 Minutes
Tacos: 48 soft chicekn tacos / 11 minutes

And some more info about her here http://www.ifoce.com/eaters.php?action=detail&sn=20

I am flabbergasted...

Assuming these are chicken eggs, where does she put 65 eggs in? Probably not in her belly... Does she have a Bag of Devouring in the gutter?

Anyway, in any case I don't want to go to the toilets right after her! :p

Wow! I'm gobsmacked! That's one amazing and somehow disturbing feat .

SPEED EATER [General]

You absorb food at amazing speed. You could well eat 65 hard boiled eggs in 6 minutes, or 48 soft chicken tacos in 11 minutes.
Prerequisites: Con 13+, Great Fortitude and Improved Initiative feats.
Benefit: You can eat 1 pound of soft food per minute, up to a maximum of 1 pound per 2 levels of experience. Doing so tends to be impressive to other people, but not everyone. In the appropriate circumstances you gain a modifier to Bluff / Diplomacy / Intimidate skill checks of +4 with halfling witnesses, +2 with dwarves and half-orcs witnesses, but -1 with elves witnesses (who tend to find this disgusting).
Normal: Trying to attempt such a voracious devouring without having the feat results in having to roll a Fort save at DC=10 + 5/pound of food ingested that way, or painfully vomit and being dazzled for 1d6 minutes.
Special: Halfling are better at this activity than anyone else. They automatically get this feat for free once they meet the requirements.

LOL! :) I guess the moles get Improved Speed Eater and Greater Speed Eater or even Epic Speed Eater! Now all you need to do is combine Speed Eater and Swallow Whole :)

You'd be surprised. The days of severely overweight individuals winning speed eating contests are long past. Now it's people who are skinny, but who have heightened metabolism. Hence the woman's picture...

Of course, she'll have to quit sometime around when she hits 30, because her metabolism will slow down, but until then, she'll give any overweight person a run for their money...
