They're just all shoving you at the same time, imparting more forward momentum. I saw a video about how to beat Baldur's Gate 3 with just walking. You had to use a special mix of items that built up 'Reverberation': Reverberation (Condition) - bg3.wiki Basically, one item said, 'whenever you cause an enemy to gain a status effect, they get 2 points of reverberation' and by the rules, if you get to 5 reverberation, you take 1d4 thunder damage. Another item creates a shriek aura, so enemies within 20 ft take a penalty to Int, Wis, and Cha saves. So if you walk up to 20 feet away, the aura gives them the condition and they get 2 points of reverberation. Then you walk 1 ft away, then walk 1 ft back to them, and this puts them back in the aura, which counts as giving them a condition, so 2 more points of reverberation. Repeat for as much movement as you have, and basically every 6 ft of movement does 1d4 thunder damage. But then you get an ally with a particular barbarian subclass that creates an aura granting allies within the aura +5 ft of movement. So if you position that barbarian so the edge of their aura is 21 feet away from the person you want to kill, you now can step 1 ft up to inflict 2 reverberation, step 1 ft back to enter the barbarian aura and get +5 speed, step 1 ft up for more reverberation, then back, forever and ever and ever. The only limit is how much patience you have to micromanage your physical location, but you can just insta-kill any enemy by basically vibrating them to death like The Flash.
