Barrington's shot hits the Spanish rifleman squarely in the shoulder. Grunting in pain, the Spaniard takes a look around, realizing the course of battle has turned against the attacking pirates. Abandoning the musket, he dashes into the jungle at a diagonal from Barrington and the house on the hill, vanishing in the dark tangle of pines, palms, and vines. Ducking and weaving under the seawolf's flurry of claws, Nia catches his jaw with the butt of her whirling staff, knocking one of his fangs loose and dropping D'avard to the floor. He collapses against the broken down door with a loud THUD. The one-eyed pirate, sidestepping Caillou's bone needle, shoves his hand in the keeteel's face before tossing the bomb into the center of the cabin. "D'avard is down! Gather yourselves, you yellow-bellied boot-lickers!" His attempt to rally the pirates seems to have the opposite effect, as their morale seems to have broken. The bomb rolls about on the floor, hissing as a stream of smoke pours from its sparking wick. Fleeing the cabin, the redbearded pirate dives thru the door, scrambling to his feet and hauling ass into the field. The gangly pirate and arm-in-a-sling pirate flee thru the clearing just ahead of him. Covering the retreat of his fellows the bandana pirate fires his musket at Nia, narrowly missing, then gathering his musket and falling back. At last conceding the battle is well and truly lost, the one-eyed pirate curses and begins to run into the field (provoking an opportunity attack from Caillou). All of the pirates are in retreat. One lies unconscious near Barrington, the one he knocked out when he turned the tables on the ambushers. And the ugly one lies slumped against the cabin wall, stone cold dead. D'avard lies unconscious on the floor, slowly reverting to human form before your very eyes. [OOC]Looks like Invisible Castle is down.
