Spell to Scry Location?

The spell Scry only works on people, I'm pretty sure. Is there a spell that can Scry [or the equivolent] on a Location or view it remotely in some way?

Clairvoyance/Clairaudience.

Though I think there needs to be a higher level version of this spell.

Prying Eyes will also do the trick.
Arcane Eye as well.

Well, Scrying can do so.... sort of.

Step 1: Draw a picture of something common to the area that is scryable.
Step 2: Specify that the critter in the picture lives in the area you want to scry.
Step 3: Scry on that critter, using the picture as the connection (critter is at a net +8 to saves, even on the same plane; this will fail with a fairly high probability, even if you're scrying on a field mouse).

My DM changed srcy so that it works just like claravoyance, but you can select a different location at the beginning of each round. It's not able to find and lock on a person. He was inspired by the Disney movie Sleeping Beauty (I think) where the enemy was using a scrying mirror to find the main character and was switching between a series of locations, unable to find her.

That's basically what I've decided to do, except that one character will fly hidden and stuff, he'll be scried upon, the near surroundings will be seen and while in view, the others will teleport to the area [the one character has the quickest and easiest access to the area; hopefully should be fine].
