Except for extremely high stats (28+) it usually won't give more than a single extra spell of a pretty low level (and that only, if you have a high stat and full access to stat-boosting items), since you rarely have access to the highest spell levels you got bonus spells in (for pretty low stat/item availability, it might actually work, tho). For a Wizard (or Cleric/Druid), it's about as good as a Pearl of Power 1st or 2nd, for a Sorcerer it's basically completely useless (at least considering, that you cannot pick another feat, since you pick this one).It's obvious why they had to do away with the DC increase, considering the change to Spell Focus, but the way the feat works now, it isn't justified that it can only be chosen at first level (which is a disadvantage, altho it only comes into play sometimes (more for non-human casters than humans)).You got to be kidding!
