Spellfire....

Just a question: Are there variant spellfire rules out there somewhere? (not necessarily houserules)

I'd like to see it as a character class instead of a feat + Pr Class.

One option I have toyed with is to give the Spellfire special abilities based upon thei character level, as opposed to a prestige class. This makes spellfire much more worthwhile, IMO, especially considering that it doesn't force the character to have to take a huge detour from their original class.

If this idea causes some balance concerns, it is possible to have the abilities cost experience points to learn, or possibly even feats.

I don't know of any. I made up my own rules for Spellfire based on the book. They have little to do with game balance though, and would only be viable for a GM who was running a story based on a Spellfire wielder.

In another thread, someone was mentioning that they don't allow the use of the Spellfire Wielder feat unless the character has at least one level of the Spellfire Channeler PrC.

EDIT: I know it sounds like feat + PrC. Wait... It sounds EXACTLY like feat + PrC, lol.
