[Spells, Items] Help me find out what these things are

Delemental

First Post
After our game this Friday, we were compiling our list of lootin's, and ran across a few items we can't find in any of the books we own. I think that our DM was trying out a new treasure generator program, but it must have included material from a third-party source he didn't know about.

Most likely he'll just end up switching out the mystery items, since you can't really use things when you have no idea what they do. But just to satisfy our curiosity, and to help my DM decide what would be appropriate substitutes, I'd like help finding out what these things do and where they come from.

There's one miscellaneous item and four spells (two were potions, two were scrolls). Besides knowing their source, I'd like to know what level the spells are, and maybe a very brief idea of what they do, and what the base cost of the item is.

Item: Horseshoes of the Vanishing Steed
Spells: Adhere to Wood
Shade Sight
Bonestaff
Mark of Earth

Thanks for the help!

Do you know what the encounter CR was? That might help to find appropiate substitues.

I have no idea what those spells or those horseshoes do, but here's a few suggestions for alternates, depending on the party's level and the encounter CR...

Horseshoes of the Vanishing Steed: Horseshoes of a Zephyr

Adhere to Wood: Spider Climb
Shade Sight: Darkvision
Bonestaff: Shillelagh
Mark of Earth: Stone Shape or Stoneskin?

Bonestaff

is from AEG's Undead book, if memory serves.

It's a spell that basically does what you think it does. Turns a bone chip into a +2 (both heads) quarterstaff for a short while.

I'm at work, books are at home, yadda yadda yadda...

The CR was fairly high on the final encounter, but these were found in a mix of items (bandit lair). Two of the spells were found in potions, so they'd have to be 3rd level or less. Most of the scrolls we found were low-level spells (1st and 2nd level). To be honest, I can't remember off the top of my head which two spells were potions and which two were scrolls. And to complicate matters further, the two potions might not have even been legal potions (the program my DM used doesn't seem to check that sort of thing, because it tried to give us a Potion of Purify Food and Drink).

My DM was thinking of making the horseshoes an item that allowed the steed to become invisible on command. But I'd kind of like to know what they really do, just because.

Mark of earth is from Book of Eldritch Might I. It is a second level wiz/sor spell that mimics bull's strength but only gives +2 str and can be ended prematurely to give one earth based (ray? 4d6?) attack as a standard action. It was written during 3.0 so it lasted a long time unless you needed the attack. It is going to be revised (presumably for 3.5 duration) in the upcoming 3.5 Book of Eldritch might hardcover.

Oh, and it left an earth colored mark (a circle?) on your cheek, hand, forehead or other section of skin while it was active.
