Spellturnin questions

Last session I DMed a large spellbattle between 6 highlevel wizards/archmages and an allied highlevel lich cleric and 5 PCs.

The NPCs were fully prepared and tried to blow the adventurers into oblivion with empowered damage spells. Most NPC wizards were protected by the Spellturning spell (which works against targeted spells, but not rays and area spells).

One of the PCs (an archmage, protected by Spellturning as well) attacked three enemy wizards with Horrid Wilting (a "target" spell). Two wizards had Spellturning active, the third one was not so lucky.

I decided to roll d% as indicated at Spellturning. The result was that Horrid Wilting affects attacker and defender normally...

The questions:
Will the PC archmage receive the damage from HW twice (because it bounces back from two defenders)?

What will happen to the unprotected NPC wizard if HW would be turned back normally? Would he benefit from the Spellturning effects of his two allies?

The results of a resonating field are not clear (at least to me). Here's the table from the SRD:

d% Effect
01–70 Spell drains away without effect.
71–80 Spell affects both of you equally at full effect.
81–97 Both turning effects are rendered nonfunctional for 1d4 minutes.
98–100 Both of you go through a rift into another plane.

Effect results: Does it mean that no levels are substracted from Spellturning?

No.

That's not clearly spelled out, but I would say that levels are subtracted from the Spell Turning.
