Spider Climb

Since 2nd level is fast approaching for my Dwarven Wizard I wanted to get opinions on the Spider Climb spell. How many limbs do you think the character must keep in contact with the climbing surface? I am leaning toward 3, so that would allow one free arm to attack, untie a rope, cast etc. I couldn't find anything in the FAQs on it. Let me hear what people think.

Spell Text Below----------------------

The subject can climb and travel on
vertical surfaces or even traverse ceilings
as well as a spider does. The affected
creature must have bare hands and feet to
climb in this manner. The subject climbs
at half its speed. A creature with a Strength
score of at least 20 +1 per caster level can
pull the subject off a wall.

Spider Climb has fairly limited utility (unlike Slippers of Spider Climbing which free your hands).

It depends how nice your DM is. I would argue that your hands are super sticky and casting spells with material components would be near impossible.

We rule that you can climb with any two limbs, as long as your skin is bare. That is, if your feet are bare, you can walk up the wall and keep your hands free. If you want to climb without removing your boots, you need both hands to do it.

The restriction on handling items was included in earlier editions, IIRC, but the 3E description says nothing about it. I'd consider it a house rule.
