The main thing is that whatever coping strategy you use remember that it is all about tyring to cope. Most strategies are not long-term goers, and that goes for keeping to one's self as well. As for being the crazy guy on the block - my cousin once spent 18 hours watching the lampost because he was certain that it was about to move.
