They had a black actor playing a non-handicapped guy who was smooth around the ladies {I liked Tyr cooking a gourmet dinner for a shocked Beka}, smart, and actually deserved his reputation as a kick-ass warrior... And he was confortable enough with his sexuality to flirt with Dylan {I swear its in there...}. </p><p></p><p>On the show in general: Sure, it was cheesy, but it was pure, unadulterated kind of sci-fi cheese. It always struck me as pulpy version of Traveller. I always got the sense the show was written be people who knew and liked SF. There were really nice touches: the great Nietshzean names, Rommie in general {particularly her crush on Dylan}, the fact that romances between Captain and warship were 'discouraged' but not forbidden, the fact the Vedrans looked lile K'kree from Traveller, Trance as a real like scary anime child-goddess...</p><p></p><p>Plus, like Farscape, it was fun.</p></blockquote><p></p>
