Message: <blockquote data-quote="Pylar" data-source="post: 859965" data-attributes="member: 6959">Not Canon????? Um, where do you get your information that the Star Wars novels are not canon??  Ever since Lucas released the news that he was releasing EP1, he made it clear that hed decided to let the novels cover the events that occured after the battle of Endor.   True, there is actually a seperate department of Lucas film that approved all the story lines that deal with the Star Wars Universe.  But that department reports to GL, and ultimately he approves the story ideas.  I am speaking with some experience, I tried to get involved with the RPGA Living Force campaign, and coresponded regularly with one of the directors of the campaign.  It was due to all the red tape that Lucasfilm demanded that kept me from submitting work.  Because Lucas wants all the approved Star Wars stuff to be canon, it must be approved by him or his people. Ok so my rant was a little off topic, I was just suprised by John's comment.  Chewie rules, it will be great to see him, even if it's just a cameo.  I've had lunch with Mr Mayhew in the past, he's a great guy and it would be wonderful if he got to play Chewie again.</blockquote>
