Spoken Languages in the Forgotten Realms

Does anyone know of any real world equivalents for the spoken languages in the FR? I know in the Moonshae area it's a type of Gaelic (if I recall correctly, the Ffolk...).

In the gaming products, there are no real world equivalents.

The novels, on the other hand, might be all over the place. But they are the novels, so...

well of course when they ported maztica and kara tur into the realms... they brought all that baggage with them.
