I'm curious to see which one of these are getting the most play, and which are best balanced.

Options:
The Mystic (Dragonlance Campaign Setting).
The Favored Soul (Miniature's Handbook).
The Evangelist (Dragon #311.)
Other (Please List)

Well, some other options from non-official sources include Green Ronin's Witch, Avatar, and Shaman, all from their Master class series.

Favoured Soul will be the available option in my campaigns. I don't know if anyone will take it - although as most of my players prefer Sorcerers to Wizards, it's quite likely!

Cheers!

Shaman from Green Ronin's shaman's handbook.

(Possibly in a future game) Avatar from Green Ronin's Avatar's Handbook.

Me too. The Shaman's Handbook is one of the finest third party products I've seen. It's in a league with From Stone to Steel and Magical Medieval Society.

I use Mongoose's shaman and Green Ronin's avatar.

I used it for my OA game as an "Animist" class (keeping the OA shaman as more of a psuedo-Buddhist "cleric"). I really like the way the class works in that the entire spell list stems from the spirits. However, it really puts a lot of work on the DM's shoulders.

The Green Ronin class is a bit less flexible, but it's less work. And yuo can add the domains from Mongoose's shamans to the green ronin shaman list. For my standard psuedo-western D&D game, I use the Green Ronin shaman instead.
