Spooks (aka MI-5) on DVD: Region Question

CSB046

First Post
Having caught some of an A&E marathon of the BBC show "Spooks" (also called "MI-5") yesterday, I was fairly impressed with the quality of the show. (Seeing a bunch of adventure hooks for a Spycraft campaign didn't hurt either...) Anyway, this morning, I started looking to see if the show was available on DVD.

Amazon.co.uk lists the first series (six episodes) as being available in a Region 0 format. This leads to three questions:

1) Being in the U.S., I presumably have a Region 1 DVD player. My understanding is that Region 0 discs will play in ANY player. Can someone confirm if this is the case? Has anyone experienced problems with Region 0 DVDs? (I realize this is a pretty basic DVD question, but I've never actually looked into the whole coding process before.)

2) Anyone actually have the "Spooks" set that can confirm that it is indeed Region 0 and not Region 2? Amazon.co.uk is also taking pre-orders on the first series of "Blake's 7" (which I would love to have on DVD), but that set is specifically listed as being Region 2. I'm slightly worried Amazon might have listed the coding on the "Spooks" set incorrectly...

3) Anyone who has the set care to comment on the DVD content itself? Are the extra features worthwhile? (If not, the show itself is worth the cost.)

Thanks for any help, even if it's only to answer question #1!
