There are 489 statblocks in the Monster Manual. That's a lot. Here's a spreadsheet with all of the monster's names, level, role and status. Many of the monsters have already been completely filled out by me, as well. However, there's still over 480 creatures who need to have their origin, type, hit points, languages, skills, etc all typed into it! Yes, I probably went a bit overboard in all the different columns. If all you want to do is create encounters quickly, the first few columns (which are completely filled out already) are enough. However, I figure too much information is better than not enough, and it also gives you more options. For example, a random encounter generator which allows you to weight monsters of the same origin or monsters from the same entry so they're more likely to show up together and the random encounters will make more thematic sense. It's a simple enough job. Just enter the stats right from the Monster Manual. The only thing missing are a few dozen more pairs of hands. If you're interested in helping, give me your email address and I'll invite you as a collaborator so you can edit the sheet. If you don't want to post your email here, drop me a line at itoltz@gmail.com And no, you don't need the monster manual to help. There've been a few stat blocks posted in previews already, go ahead and do those! As a corollary to that, anyone who DOES have the monster manual, please try to focus first on the monsters which haven't been previewed. Of course, when the books street date hits in a few days that'll all be pretty moot.
