Seeking two reliable players to join an established D&D 3.5 group in Springfield, VA. Sessions occur every 3-4 weeks. We play Sundays, usually from 1-6 p.m.
Here is some shameless self-promotion in the form of feedback from
the game's players:
"(I like) the great detail. The feeling that my character is
actually not in the standard European D&D setting- instead of just
the same game with funny names for the characters."
"(I like the) intricate plot lines…(the) campaign setting is very
cool."
"(I like) the emphasis placed on character development"
and "political intrigue."
"(I like) my heavy flail." (DM's note: Fighters. What can you do?)
About the campaign:
The setting's inspiration is drawn from Afghanistan after
Alexander's generals fought the Successor Wars, circa 323-281 BC.
While drawing heavily on real world terrain and politics it is
totally fictional.
We have just started our second campaign, the previous one lasted a
year and a half. The characters are eighth and ninth level and are
currently bumbling…errr deftly maneuvering… their way through a
shattered landscape.
About me:
I am 35 years old, married, and have two young daughters. I have
played D&D on and off since I was eight years old. I work in
national level politics and have long experience with Afghanistan
and the Middle East, this is reflected in the game. The other
players are all late twenties and early thirties, most are married
and have kids. We currently have four players and a DM, we are looking to expand to six players.
