[Spycraft] Standard Gear Section?

The book keeps talking about Personal Budget being only useable from the "Standard Gear" Section. I have looked in the gear section several times, but none of it is really titled "Standard Gear"... what gives? Does it just mean anything not in the gadgets section? Hrmmm.. Eratta doesn't mention it either.

Even though that should be understood without saying, I think that is what they meant.

Yeah that's what I thought, but wanted to try and find some official statement... I mean that means starting budgets can go to machine guns n stuff... which personally I wouldn't consider a bit of "standard" spy gear, if you know what I mean?

Anything with a BP cost you can buy with Personal Budget Points.

For your convenience, Spycraft offer a choice of one of three sets of bundles for 25 BP each on page 106. You can start there.

Remember, the gears you buy based on Personal Budget are usable through all your missions and does not change (but can be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed) until you reach the next Agent level, where you get a new Personal Budget Points.

Spend wisely.

The regular Budget Point is spent during the Gearing Up phase of the mission. Since each mission is different you can requisitioned different gear that will be most useful in (and maximize the success of) that mission.
